Tim Johnson | President and Founder
TJC Group Founder and President Tim Johnson has spent his entire 32-year career helping clients communicate with and connect more closely to the communities where they operate and the elected officials who represent those communities. A graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU), Tim is a leading national consultant in local stakeholder engagement and has worked with the world’s largest and most recognizable global industrial companies. He is known across the United States for his ability to assist TJC Group clients in building knowledge, understanding, and trust among all their critical stakeholders.
Tim is the leading expert in the United States in the creation, management, facilitation, and revitalization of community advisory councils/panels (CACs or CAPs) having created more than thirty-five councils/panels in eight states for both industry and law enforcement. He has personally facilitated more than 1,800 CAC and CAP meetings.
Tim’s background includes six years as a lead committee staffer for the Louisiana State Senate and five years as the Director of Business Development for the Construction and Maintenance Division of the Shaw Group. Tim served almost seven years as the Director of Training and then Executive Director for the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Pelican Chapter, leading one of the largest privately funded construction craft training centers in the United States with an enrollment of over 1,600 students per semester.
Tim is the executive producer and host of the Louisiana Business and Industry Show – a weekly statewide television program that reaches an audience of over 1.5 million homes on seven network affiliates across Louisiana. The show features high profile business leaders, critical and real time information, as well as informative and leading-edge opinions.
Tim lives just outside of Baton Rouge in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. He and his wife, Kelly, have three grown children and a son-in-law – daughter Dr. Hillary Johnson and husband Scotty Anderson and sons Peyton, and Nicholas. He enjoys singing in his church choir, reading biographies and history, running, and LSU Athletics.
